Russian officials believe it is too early for the BRICS countries to unify their currency
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said it was too early to discuss a unified currency due to differences in financial regulation among the BRICS member countries. Instead, the focus remains on strengthening financial sovereignty and exploring the use of national currencies for trade. Ryabkov stressed that the BRICS countries are working to strengthen their economic independence and that the authorities are actively working on building an interconnected financial marekt.
